Spider web plates

You’ll need:

  • 5 black paper plates
  • White yarn

  • Foam or paper spiders

Crafting these spider web plates will help your little ones practices their fine motor skills. Start by punching holes around the paper plates. Next, thread white yarn through the holes to make a spider web. Finish your plate by taping foam or paper spiders on to the web. You can hang these plates around your home along to turn your home into the perfect Halloween haunted house. Creepy, creepy!

 

Masking tape mummy

You’ll need:

  • Card paper
  • Masking tape
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue

This masking tape mummy is the Halloween version of a gingerbread man. Start by drawing the outline of a mummy onto a piece of card and cutting it out. Older children can cut it out themselves. Next, wrap layers of masking tape around the mummy and stick on two googly eyes with some glue. These cute mummies are a fun and easy craft activity for toddlers.

 

Clothespin bats

You’ll need:

  • Clothespins
  • Black card paper
  • Red googly eyes
  • Markers
  • Glue

To make these adorable bats, start by having your child color the clothespins with the markers: great way for small hands to practice controlling writing tools. Next, cut out black card paper into the shape of a bat, including its wings and head including its two ears. Next, stick the googly eyes onto the head. After that, stick the cut-out of the bat onto the clothespin with glue. You can use silver markers to decorate the wings of the bats. Preschoolers will love transforming regular clothespins into cute Halloween bats!

Turn your child’s handprints into spooky Halloween bats! Start making bat handprints by tracing the outline of your child’s hand onto black card paper. Cut out the handprints and make the bat head and body from the remaining card papers. Stick the head onto the body and attach the handprint wings to the side of the body. From the white paper, cut out the bat’s teeth. Then, stick the googly eyes and teeth onto the bat’s face.
